Ask Them Not To Exceed Their Capacity
I did not count
the sins that would be sinned
against me
until they came.
And now I stand aghast
to see the sum
of all this unholy violence
upon my honest soul.
I never saw a god,
nor a devil either;
only a host of humans
incapable of love.
And forgiveness I fear
is far too weak to redeem them.
