An Ongoing Dilemma

Choosing I or you or we or they
is an ongoing dilemma.

There are two types of people in the world,
and I have become suspicious of both of them.

I might believe in a crazy thing,
but I could never believe in somebody
who believed in a crazy thing.

When did people develop such a talent
for apathy?  How can it be
that their only warmth is anger?

Trapped in a routine so absolute
that every variation seems volcanic.

If the closer you look at someone the less you like them,
why would you look closely at anyone?
