An Act
What is gone cannot comfort.
What never was cannot comfort.
What may be cannot comfort.
What may not be cannot comfort.
What is cannot comfort.
Only I can comfort,
by an act of will.
Only I can comfort,
by an act of vision.
Only I can comfort,
by an act of imagination.
I act, and am comforted.
I act, and am not comforted.
I don't act, and am not.
