After She Left Him



He turned off the light in the room.
"You are dead now," he said.
"I am not," she said,
"You have turned off the light."
"All is dark," he said.  "You are dead."
"I am not," she said.
He turned on the light.
"You are not," he acknowledged.
"But I am."
