Adverse Purpose
The imperceptible extravagances
the uncertainties
the legacy of erroneous speculation
the transience of the purportedly persistent
that which proved unprovided
the illusion of proactive protection
the irrationals' attraction to violence
the arrogance of villainy
the righteousness of wrongdoing
the voice of vice
the gallery of ghouls
those who mutinied under my scrutiny
the institutional folly
the feral government
the putative politics
the opportunistic offices of kleptocrats
the decisions of the deceased
the command to commandeer
the sham laurels of war
the forces arrayed against us
those who choose to choose less
those who confuse innocence with goodness
the epistemic stewards
the inappropriate aperture
the terminally vague
those who believe to behave
the sins of tradition
those impervious to sense
the ass hysteria of the anti-vaxxers
the ceaseless excess
the trouble with baubles and other bubbles
the shreds and shards of my affection
the instability of beauty
the futility of true love
the pro-life-eration
things I know or suspect about things
the loitering of the insufficiently-motivated
the celebratory celebrity ceremonies
the notion of the nutritional value of the national virtues
those eager to trade the illusion of liberty for the illusion of security
the lust for industry
the complacency of the busy
those who mistake the profit for the prize
that which isn’t immoral but simply incompatible with the design spec
the erroneously-assumed reliability of witness testimony
those notions (and motions) subservient to expedience
the illusion that separation is preservation
those aspects of lie that play more like a videogame than a lived experience
the many attempted rationalizations of extinction
those who practice cultural rejection while calling it cultural protection
those with a fetish for regressive scenarios
the rigid rules of drooling fools
those who take pleasure in revulsion
those who hate an impudent face, a defiant tongue
the emotional recession
the cultural regression
the promised world vs. the arrived world
the adverse purpose of the universe.
Life has made me afraid to declare victory.
