A World Such As This

An old bearded man is dictating descriptions of reality.
A young girl with long brown hair is listening intermittently.
Outside the cabin, in the garden, and all the way
down into the valley, people are running about:
here to there, there to here.
The sun is on the horizon singing its song:
Begin again, end again!  Begin again, end again!
And I have captured or copied them all in my head,
where I will keep them as long as I am allowed.
What a thing it is to be such as I am
in a world such as this is!
