A Living
All the living was preparation.
I have been prepared by all the living.
Do not say the living was just preparation
just because it was preparation.
I lived, and found myself prepared.
Because I lived then I am now prepared.
Do not say the preparation was worth
the cost of the living. Do not say it was not.
Living altered me, leaving one who was prepared.
It would be easier not to be prepared after living
than it would be to be prepared before living.
But I lived enough to be prepared enough.
What is “prepared enough”?
Live, and find out.
