A Compelling Story
Don't believe a compelling story.
Believe the conclusion of an unbreakable chain of facts.
Or better yet, don't believe at all.

Pretension can, in time,
push you to inhabit
that which begins as pose.

Frustration and confusion come before grief,
then wait for grief and, when it comes,
walk with it to the end.

You say I am too intense;
what you mean is I'm too intent.
Most prefer a vaguer gaze.

Truth does not speak; it emerges,
woven between those who seek it.
