2I ran into TS at the end of the above dream. I asked him about his sister, S. He said that she had disappeared about a month previously somewhere in the Peruvian Andes. I went to look for her. My vehicle crashed, and I, and a few others with me, found our way into a labyrinth, part cavern, part underthicket. We were attacked by huge, intelligent, speech-capable wolves. As far as I know, there was no lycanthropy here; they were just some alternately evolved wolves, very primal and violent. We would have been killed, but then S stepped forward from the back and intervened for us successfully. It seemed that there were a few humans there, in about a 1 to 4 ratio to the wolves, and that, in general, they had a much lesser status than did the wolves. S was apparently the human leader, however, so she had enough influence to save most of us (especially me, who, of course, she remembered). Else happened as I was introduced to the daily life of the group, which consisted mostly of exploring the subterranean passageways. A couple of times, people came down to join us, and I saw the group's ingenuity in rebuffing outsiders. I don't know why we were originally greeted so harshly, for the wolves were not overly cruel or vicious; perhaps since we were a fairly large group, as opposed to a single person, we had looked like some sort of invasion force, or maybe it was because we had actually encroached deeply into their hidden home. In any event, we were soon accepted, and I began working on reestablishing my relationship with S. Little else. (G) |
