1President Reagan came to speak at the university. I and only a handful of others were there to see him. He kept forgetting things, like when he was supposed to leave. When it was over, I went and talked to V (on the phone?), assuming that he'd been there too. He hadn't known about it, though, and was very upset at having missed it. (H)
2A guy and a girl murdered her fiancee and took off with a big wad of cash that they concealed in a secret compartment of their vehicle. The guy made her mad, and she began driving very recklessly. A policeman pulled them over on Highland Road, just north of Highland Park. He ticketed them. They saw a huge snake wrapped into a package and frozen solid sitting on the side of the road. The policeman got a call on his radio, and they thought it was about them and were going to make a break for it. It wasn't, however, and he let them go. Else before. (G) |
