       5:50              2A false awakening. V and I were riding through the construction on Jefferson Highway toward and almost to the turnoff to la bosque. I was writing my dream from above [1] on the dash with my finger, but finally decided that I needed to put it in my DN. I complained about having to write it and V jokingly said that he could do it for me, since I'd already written it on the dash. I opened the car door and stuck a sign in the ground that read something like "this is how far I got." V pointed out a formation of five or six Air Force jets going by overhead. (H)

     Poorly remembered now. I was searching for a particular woman, similar to in 1 above. While I was looking, I ran into my father, who made me wait while he introduced me to a bunch of foreign people. Later, I saw C, and we climbed on some bars on a playground. I think V was there briefly, but he got mad and stormed off in a huff. I resumed my search. Then there was a slight shift. I was a woman, searching for a man with whom I'd been having an affair. His wife was aiding a little in the search. Then she got nasty, and I realized that she'd done something to her husband. Another man in our party started choking at that moment, and I knew she was trying to kill him too. I ran frantically about, looking for her husband, and finally found him locked in a steam room. At first, I thought he was dead, but then he came around and started to move feebly. Then, we were all eating at the same table. He told his wife he was leaving her, and I assumed he would come to me, but he didn't. He was a bandleader and wanted to do something exciting, explained the other man (who had survived his choking fit), and I was too settled for him. (G)
     ?This one may be a retro from the first recording. I was in some situation with a cute girl and I made a remark about cutting heads off of babies (see the May 10th 4:07 recording). I looked at V, expecting him to react to my clever allusion to her perfection, but, of course, since he was only a dream character and didn't have his normal complement of memories, it went over his head.
